Cashless Challenge: The Ultimate Date Or Day With The Boys

Recently, we teamed up with American Express for their Cashless Challenge, and planned a pretty sweet weekend while we were at it.

Recently, we teamed up with American Express for their Cashless Challenge, and planned a pretty sweet weekend while we were at it.

In a world where things move fast, we want everything at our fingertips, without fuss. To be able to tap and go, wherever we go, is a luxury most of us would now struggle to live without.

So, when American Express asked The Tailored Man to go without cash for an entire weekend, and hit up all our favourite spots with only an American Express card, we said: challenge accepted!

While we expected some of the bigger stores to be on the list, we were surprised by the amount of small businesses who happily took our Amex. Before long, we discovered we could go almost anywhere around Melbourne without worrying if our card would be turned down.

So, after two days worth of coffees, food, drinks, entertainment and experiences, we decided to put together the ultimate weekend guide filled with the places we went that happily accepted American Express – so you can take the challenge, too.

Whether you’re looking to impress on a date or watch footy finals with the boys, here’s our recommendations for the perfect weekend in the perfect city.

Have your Amex card at the ready.
