[emphasized type=”emphasized”]We made it. Winter is in its final days and FINALLY it’s Spring. One of our favourite times of the year, because now we can have a little fun with what we’re wearing![/emphasized]
Why you ask? It’s simple – it’s the trans-seasonal weather. It’s not too cold that all style goes out the window and we dress for an Antarctic expedition, and it’s not too warm that we have to strip down to the thinnest piece of cotton possible. Spring is the perfect temperature for versatile jackets.
Two staple pieces for our Spring wardrobe are the denim jacket, and the bomber jacket. We enlisted the help of UNIQLO to give you a little inspiration when it comes to styling these two fundamental pieces:
The Denim Jacket
Great for your casual weekend-warrior look, the denim jacket has been around for decades, and it ain’t going anywhere. It’s one of those timeless classics.
A washed denim jacket, like this one from Uniqlo, is perfect for that light extra layer – keeping in a little warmth, but also thin enough that you’re not sweating up a storm.
The washed blue colour is extremely versatile, and allows you to almost pair it with anything – we love a white or grey tee, or stripes are always a go-to for a casual weekend look.
Pant wise, if you’re feeling bold enough you could run a little denim on denim. We opted for a staple navy chino and a long-sleeve stripe tee to add a little contrast and depth to the outfit.
The Bomber Jacket
Any avid TTM follower would know, that we have praised the bomber jacket through winter, and that isn’t changing for Spring! She’s still good for another month or two!
The Uniqlo MA1 Blouson Bomber is the perfect layer to chuck on over the top of a tee. The versatility of the bomber is what we love best, you can wear it street-style or opt for a more smart-casual look, working it in with a pair of suit pants and shirt. We appropriately went for a more “tailored” look…
