Pitti Uomo: The Fall 2016 Men’s Shows

There is no doubt that within the last few days, many of you have been delighted to see your social media feeds filled with extraordinarily-dressed gentleman, in a mix of everything from well tailored suits to street wear to athleisure (proof that it is here to stay).

Yes, from January 12 to 15, Pitti Uomo (89) returns to the Fortezza da Basso in Firenze, Italy, bringing with it the above and so much more; a trade fair for emerging designers and artists, established brands and international buyers, to meet, discuss and appreciate glorious up-and- coming designs in menswear.

“It’s great just to create something you love; it’s magic. Every fashion designer is looking for opportunities to be free,” – Marco de Vincenzo said.

Home of ‘sprezzatura’, the iconic fair has thus far produced some interesting looks Australia will see to emulate over the coming winter season.

Although the traditional bastion of tailoring is ever-so strong, gents have taken the sportswear/athleisure approach, proving to be a popular choice amongst the daring and bold; white sneakers and jogger pants seen in numbers on the streets of Firenze.

Below are some pictures of our favourite street style getups from Pitti Uomo 89, Fall ’16.
