Perfectly Paired Festive Feast

[emphasized type=”emphasized”]You experience a memorable taste sensation when a perfectly paired wine melds with food on your palate. Let us help you create that magical(and boozy) moment at Christmas.[/emphasized]

Although taste-buds are individual, it is undeniable that when a near perfect match is discovered, it truly enhances both your food and your wine.

If you’re putting all that energy and time into the ultimate Christmas feast, why not go a step further and bring out the full flavours of each dish by matching your wine.

Wine should be treated just like food – it has flavour, weight, after-taste, nuance and structure. Successful food and wine pairing is all about creating balance; it’s called SYNERGY people!

We’ve paired up with one of our favourite wine makers St. Hubert’s, and their new tier of Victorian wines, to take all the hard work out of your festive feast preparation. The new range – The Stag by St Huberts – are ‘light on their feet’ cool climate styles that are bottled early to bring about vibrant fruit flavours, freshness and restraint. Perfect for our Aussie summer meals.

The Wines

The Stag Chardonnay signature flavours are white peach and citrus notes, very low oak impact and a light and lively palate. Being lighter than your average Chardonnay, The Stag complements lighter dishes too and is great paired with subtle white meat dishes and Asian cuisine.

The Stag Pinot cries out for a picnic! Bottled early to capture its vibrant fruit flavours, its light palate goes hand in hand with tapas, pasta, heavier white meat dishes and of course the classic Pinot Noir pairings of mushrooms, duck and other game. With flavours of cherries and muddled strawberries, spice and stalks, light bodied, but still maintaining a classic Pinot “plushness” in the mouth.

The Shiraz signature flavours are red and blue fruits, hints of plums, earth and spice. It is medium bodied with supple tannins and lovely vibrancy. The Stag Shiraz is not heavy, or jammy like many other Shiraz wines. Really versatile, it works with virtually all red meat dishes, and is great with pizza and BBQs – or to finish with cheese.

Pair as you please, or we’ve taken all the traditional Aussie Christmas flavours and paired them with a the perfect Stag wine:
