Naughty or nutritious? Penta doesn’t discriminate, they accomodate!
From the team that brought you Legacy, Temperance Society and Mob Espresso, Penta is nothing short of pent-astic (five times fantastic, if you didn’t learn your shapes at school).
Just like it’s siblings, Penta’s menu has the bi-polar brunchers covered. Whether you’ve had a rager of a night and need that stomach-filling, hangover-curing feed, or you’ve already fit in a spin class, your yoga sesh and you walked to breakfast(screw you), Penta have you sorted.
The glass-fronted cafe boasts a hyper-industrial interior with exposed infrastructure and polished concrete, but it’s neither cold, nor unwelcoming. It’s quite the opposite actually, with an unassuming warmth and energy.
The food – think Chia Beetroot Pudding, Nutella Pannacotta, Orange Blossom Hotcakes and Okonomiyaki(Japanese fritters). They’ve also got the classics covered, so breathe easy you smashed avo fiends.
Breaking new bagel ground, chef Nicky Campbell has come up with a housemade beetroot bagel, fluffy and tinged pink, stuffed full of cured salmon and crème fraiche. The Breakfast Bowl is like a warm embrace with a combination of grains, greens and nuts with smoked yoghurt and topped with a poached egg.
From healthy to hangover, liquid lovers will have a tough choice between the vibrant and delicious beetroot, mango or green smoothies, or alternatively indulging in a classic vanilla malt or salted caramel milkshake. Not to mention complimentary sparkling water.
And let’s not forget the coffee. The house blend is roasted by Dimattina Coffee, which has created a custom blend just for the team, while Maker Fine Coffee looks after all their black coffee needs.
But really, have you even #brunched if you haven’t been to Penta?!
